The Alex Bradley MAXX is a firm dark cigar the has a nice deep earthy aroma, and its flawless wrapper is a thing of beauty. Upon lighting this cigar, you are surrounded by a rich earthy smoke that has hints of strong coffee and leather and this flavor profile continues to change and impress as you continue to smoke. At the halfway point, I began to notice a very nice dark chocolate flavor, that was not sweet, accompanied the earthy flavors that I had been getting and this mixture was fantastic. This sort of chocolate/leather/coffee flavor profile continued right until the end, and the rich creamy smoke made the finish on this cigar pleasant and long lasting. I commented to my wife that I was still tasting the wonderful dark chocolate and coffee flavors well after I had finished this fine cigar. The one side note that I need to mention is that MAXX is true to its name and is on the full side, as by the end of this cigar I was feeling a nice kick. All in all the Alec Bradley MAXX surprises you with a very smooth and rich flavor profile that is complex and enjoyable, this is a wonderful cigar for any collection.-Fumée featured reviewer Brent

Appearance: This is a good-lookin', but simple cigar. The band is plain, but sharp. The cigar seems to want to speak for itself without allowing you any pre-judgements....
Taste: Here's where we start to take notice. Can you say sweetness? This cigar had a very pleasant cedar-like woody flavor with a very prominent floral undertone...
Aroma: This is one of the few sticks that smelled like it tasted. Running the cigar under my nose, I whiffed a woody scent with floral notes....
Construction: This is where we lose some of the elation. I had no high expectations for this stick when I squeezed along its length and found some inconsistencies and loose spots....
Overall: I was torn with this cigar. I smoke cigars for their taste and how they make me feel. This cigar tasted awesome and I was sad to see it end. But, a review has to be comprehensive and construction speaks of quality. This construction was slightly less than what I'd consider average. So, that being said, I had to knock one star off, but this still rated quite well. I will most definitely have more of these in my humidor in the near future. And, I gotta say, at $5, these things are very well priced!!
